The Rocket Summer is back on tour and everything about it is SO incredible! Seriously, I can't find words to express just how wonderful this band & music is, and how fortunate we are to be a part of it. The Rocket Summer is my favorite band of all time. GO TO A SHOW (pick one) to hear two new songs from the upcoming record... "So Much Love" and "Break It Out." Say hi to Tommy who's back on drums, and Matt who is now playing bass. Also, I'm still collecting pictures for the fans & friends section, so please send those in. I wish you happy times. :)![]()

I know that anyone who visits this site probably visits official Rocket Summer sites more often, therefore you already know the news. So I'll just say... how awesome is the video update?! It's SO exciting to see in-the-studio clips, and new song previews. The upcoming music is going to be beautiful. Also, The Rocket Summer's tour with The Early November starts soon (March 1st!!) and I recommend that you purchase tickets now, before the show you want to go to is sold out. I am so excited! * * *![]()

This past weekend, The Rocket Summer played two super-energetic and highly-LOVED shows in Texas!! :-) The show on Friday, September 15th was in Houston at Meridian. Bryce brought lots of fans on stage to sing "I Was So Alone"... he also sang his own version of Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me," as a humorous response to a not-friendly article about him in the Houston newspaper, haha. This was a 'warm-up' show for the next day at Austin City Limits, where the band performed a short set in hot weather among thousands of music fans, and TRS friends.Bryce is still writing new songs for his new CD... he's scheduled to begin recording in California at the end of October! YAAAYY!! I'm praying for this band and its continually amazing music. ♥

Also, this has been the last tour for Tommy and Jed. Tommy has been the TRS drummer since July '05, but now he's excited to move to Ohio to study history and psychology at Ohio State University. Jed has been the bassist since April '05, and next, he's going to school to pursue his dream of becoming a chiropractor! I'm sure I'm not the only one who is going to MISS them very much. Love & best wishes, guys!!

Hey guys... my email hasn't been working lately. weeeeird. So if you're trying to send me an email, please re-send it to jeanact AT gmail . com. Specifically, please send in your pictures with Bryce or the TRS crew for the Fans & Friends section! Smiles are beautiful and I want to collect as many fans' pictures as possible! Thanks! The Rocket Summer played at Bamboozle last Saturday... in front of Giants Stadium on the Riot Squad Stage at 6:00pm... the sun was still really strong and the wind made the TONS of confetti do twists in the air! There were thousands of people with their hands up, jumping and singing along... Bryce performed the HITS with soo much energy... it was the biggest Rocket Summer show I've ever seen!!
Also... newly added to TRSconfetti.com in the "the band" section is a video of Jed being happy! :-)

The Rocket Summer just finished their tour with Relient K... check your myspace bulletins to read a post from Bryce telling about how awesome it was! :) My very favorite part of this tour was when Bryce ran on stage during Relient K's "More Than Useless" and sang the second half of the song with Matt Thiessen. The first time this happened, I suddenly JUMPED because Bryce's voice was so refreshing... it really HIT me, how the way Bryce makes music gets through to me like no other music does! I had listened to "More Than Useless" several times, but I didn't even know what the lyrics were until Bryce sang them with such TRS JOY. Here is a video posted by a fan on youtube.com... yay!The last Rocket Summer tour before the NEW ALBUM is happening April 25--June 3. Don't miss it!
Also, I want to take this space to invite more fans to post on The official Rocket Summer Message Board. It's pretty slow right now... but I think if more fans signed up and started having conversations, it would get a lot better! So please, sign up & say something! :)

This past weekend my very cool road-tripping friends and I visited Atlanta and Columbia to see The Rocket Summer's headlining tour! The shows were beautiful! I hope every fan can get to a city and see The Rocket Summer within the next few months, because the "Hello, good friend" tours are coming to a close.... time to make a new album. :) Anyways, here's a cookie Kristin bought at Quizno's in NC!

Happy birthday, Matt Hoopes!! Happy birthday for the next month and a half!! The Rocket Summer is currently on tour as main support for Relient K... opening the show is Maxeen. This is good! The tour goes all around the United States and into western Canada. It finishes on April 1st in Columbus, Ohio (RK's hometown.)The Relient K/TRS/Maxeen tour takes a week-long break in the middle of March. During this time, Bryce has decided to do a mini-headlining tour with Blackpool Lights, Jim Suptic from the Get Up Kids' new band. This short headlining tour begins March 7th in Orlando, and goes until March 14th in Nashville.
so basically... pay attention to the tour dates!! :-)

The music video for "Brat Pack" is now available for viewing on Yahoo Music! click right here!!! Seeing this song animated with little stories and props is incredible... Bryce did a great job coming up with ideas and assistant directing. Hopefully it will be played on MTV within the next few months and more people will think it's fun! The first time I watched the video, I laughed out loud for 3 minutes and 49 seconds straight... in a good way... (it was definitely that paper restaurant hat)... it's so bright and joyful. :-) Congratulations to the fans who are IN the video - you guys know how to dance 'til you got no more, and for that you are music video heros!

in Dallas, Texas... Bryce performed a very special solo-acoustic singalong show at the Gypsy Tea Room!! Fans danced on stage and Bryce performed 20 spectacular songs, including "Christmas Present", "The Goth Pop Song", and "Movie Stars and Super Models" acoustic-style, and "happy birthday" on the piano. And there was confetti... (there's always confetti!) It was pretty much the happiest show of all time. :-)
