THE MATT HOOPES BIRTHDAY TOUR

with Relient K (headlining), and Maxeen

             During February and March and the first day of April, 2006, The Rocket Summer joined Relient K on 'The Matt Hoopes Birthday Tour.' This tour went all throughout the USA and into Canada, and jokingly celebrated Matt Hoopes of Relient K's birthday each night (his birthday was February 15 - the 1st day of the tour). The Rocket Summer went out as main support and played a solid 45 minute set. Often, Matt Thiessen of Relient K would join Bryce on stage for the end of "TV Family." To reciprocate, Bryce went on stage during Relient K's song "More Than Useless" and sang the last verse and last chorus of the song... it sounded awesome.
